A Sledding We Will Go

Wednesday no one had school or work due to the foot of snow we got. I think that makes about 50" for the year! So we decided to trek out on our own and go sledding at Regina. They've got a great hill, not quite like Kill Hill at West with life risking speeds, but we didn't think the car would make it that far on the streets. So we only risked life and limb to get here. We created a path through about three feet of snow for everyone coming after us. A few times down the hill, plus moments of wrestling and trying to create snow tunnels did us in. A Future Fiddler

Jacob had his first orchestra concert this week. He chose the violin because he sees a future of fiddle playing to his brother's guitar in a band. I think he can do it. We try to practice both violin and piano which is a chore to get done, but he has natural talent and good pitch. They are both growing up so fast. Last week we went on a college visit with Blake to Wheaton. He looks like he belongs there. If you have a couple of extra minutes, pray he gets in, we'll know by April.
