I've been tagged...

Vicki tagged me, so I'm supposed to tell you 10 random things about myself. Let me see.....

1. When I was little, I wanted to be both a fireman and a freestyle ice skating champion. I just read somewhere the other day that you should revisit your wishes of your youth. I can just see it now...

Later, I wanted to be a storm chaser... yow!

2. I love garage sales! My garage sale friends already knew that, but for the rest of you, come to my house-most of what you see is treasures from places like this.

3. I'm glad I have a great imagination, because God says heaven is more than we could ever imagine.

4. I'm humbled that God hasn't forgotten me after too much time of the mundane. I am getting reaquainted with Him and am grateful.

5. I have a slight fear of water. And a pretty big one of heights.

6. I like to travel, and I like to come home. Jay and I have this in common. Did I mention I have a great husband?

7. I am not a good letter writer, so don't move, I many never talk to you again! That's why I am grateful for blogging, I can keep up with you all. I probably better learn how to write though because Laura and Adam just moved to Boone, NC this month. He's working with Operation Christmas Child. So I need to be a better writer, of course there's always the phone.....

8. I enjoy my kids. I enjoy watching them enjoy each other too.

9. I'm not super girlie, but I do like jewelry, perfume and flowers. Oh, and chocolate, how could I forget that

10. I like to read, all kinds of stuff. In fact I'm reading four books at a time right now. It's also a way to keep from getting anything else done, especially housework and exercising. Did you know you can read while cooking, showering, driving,... yes, I've done all those things.

A nearly perfect day

So since I've been sitting around bored all day and mom never posts on this blog i decided to add an entry. Inspired by a question my new bro once asked me he said "So you've been on this earth for 16 years (at the time), whats been the best day of your life?" This isn't exactly the best day of my life but its one that i can remember well and was one ill remember for awhile.

It has to be in the summer, of course, i woke up and put on a pearl snap shirt, shorts and sandals. Say goodbye to ma and dad and hop into the DRTY DOS mobile with Dos himself. We drove downtown to say peace to Paulie at the store and then off we go. It was HOT! the entire time, we had the windows rolled down all the way there. A 12 pack of mountain dew in the back and corn fields in full growth along the highway all the way. Dos stops a ridiculous amount of times to put gas in his car, his gauge is broken so he never knows how much gas is left. Its sunny outside hardly any clouds. We have to go out of the way to Eric's house to drop something off and to build anticipation and finally arrive! Minnesota (i know probably not expecting that in my 'perfect day') We pull up and enter the apartment complex go down the stairs to the left and stop at apartment 103! Smeese is in the house! I check out the crib and strum on Jasmine his guitar, oh how id missed her. Sit on the futon and be indecisive like always. Its soo hot and there's no AC just the Hawaiian breeze fan. We decide on going to the park/lake. We bring the grill and Brats. We drive and get to the park and who's there? SIS! Laura and Lindsey long time no see let the fun begin. We cook the brats, i could eat those everyday in the summer, and enjoy a vanilla coke. After we finish the perfect meal we play some barefoot football with some people we meet at the park. Dos Smeese and Blake domination style we win with me out jumping some man in the back of the endzone. We get done being victorious and go swimming and jump off the dock in the middle of the lake. Laura gets in trouble for doing flips. Time to drive back to the apartment 103. Its still wicked hot and the sun is setting but it will be out still for a long time, its the middle of summer. Laura and Lindsey stop by and we pile into Lindsey's car, riding shotgun and listening to Big & Rich's new CD on the way to find ice cream. We end up standing in line at someplace that was vOted top ten in the nation waiting to get a cOne and make fun of Lindsey's accent (dOs get me a cOke). I talk her into buying me a cOne, birthday cake ice cream mmm. We go back to Laura's house and Dos and Lindsey fight, Dos isn't allowed to kick but she is she has bad knees. Dos chokes her out! Then we watch Joe Dirt, that is so funny (inside joke) i fall asleep watching the movie but wake up later because I'm sweating! only time that's ever happened, its soo hot! Then we go home and i stay up late with my future bros Dos and Smeese! I fall asleep on the futon. It will be corn bread muffins and vanilla coke from here on out.

I know you were probably expecting the fourth of July or something and definitely not in Minnesota but it wasn't so much the place as it was getting to hang out with the people I love!
